Archery is a great class for everyone to enjoy. From individuals to families, newcomers to experienced archers, the Archery: Beginner/Intermediate class has something for everyone. Participants will learn about range safety, proper archery shooting techniques and target practice in a fun and safe environment. This one-hour class is held at the Parker Fieldhouse every Sat. from Nov. 30 through Dec. 21 for participants 8 years and older. Session are held from 1 to 2 p.m. OR from 2 to 3 p.m. Cost is $60 for Parker residents and $66 for non-residents.
Archery: Advanced is designed to further develop your archery skills using elements of the National Training System (NTS). Additional equipment will be added as you advance your shooting technique and discussions will be held to develop your skills for recreational or tournament/competitive archery. There will be frequent discussions on advanced shooting techniques as well as preparation for tournament play. This four-week class is held at the Parker Fieldhouse every Sat. from Nov. 30 through Dec. 21 for participants 8 years and older from 3 to 4 p.m. Cost is $60 for Parker residents and $66 for non-residents.
Learn to Fence: Winter Break Camp for youth ages 8 to 18, is designed so beginner participants understand the fundamentals of fencing after one full day of practice. Fencing is a fantastic mental and physical sport that teaches competition, respect and self-discipline in a safe and fun environment. Successful completion of this class will allow students to join the progressive fencing classes offered through the Fencing Academy of Parker. This one-day camp is held at the Parker Fieldhouse, 18700 E. Plaza Dr. on Fri., Dec. 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $60 per Parker residents and $66 for non-residents.
