Recreational Opportunities Begin at Rueter-Hess Reservoir

Rueter_Hess

On May 1, Parker Town Council approved an intergovernmental agreement to introduce recreational opportunities at Rueter-Hess Reservoir. With direction from the Rueter-Hess Recreation Authority, the Parker and Castle Rock Parks and Recreation Departments will begin offering programs at the site this summer.

Beginning in June, Parker Parks and Recreation is excited to introduce stand up paddleboarding with Colorado SUP Sports. Lessons and rentals will be available on Fridays and Sundays through September. Register online at www.coloradosupsports.com.

Also, Rueter-Hess Information Sessions offer participants the chance to see the site up close and meet representatives from Parker Parks and Recreation and Parker Water & Sanitation District. Free sessions will be from 4 to 4:30 p.m. on June 9, July 14 or Aug. 11. Register online at www.ParkerRec.com/RHRecreation.

For additional recreation opportunities offered by Castle Rock Parks and Recreation, visit their site at www.crgov.com. For questions about Parker Parks and Recreation, contact Brenda Mooney at bmooney@parkeronline.org or visit www.ParkerRec.com.
