SilverSneakers® by Tivity Health
SilverSneakers® by Tivity Health is helping a generation defy the odds, shatter stereotypes and answer every challenge with, “I can do this!” SilverSneakers® is the nation’s leading exercise program for active older adults and has been part of the programming at the Parker Recreation Center since 2006.
SilverSneakers® offers physical activity, health education and social events. Through the SilverSneakers® Fitness Pass, participants have unlimited access to the Parker Recreation Center and Fieldhouse facilities, access to more than 116 drop-in fitness classes, and signature SilverSneakers® classes which are designed specifically for older adults and taught by certified instructors.

Did you know 1 out of 5 people age 65 and older are eligible for this fitness benefit? If you’re a group retiree or part of a Medicare health plan, you may already have a SilverSneakers® membership.
Using Your SilverSneakers® Fitness Pass
The Parker Recreation Center and Parker Fieldhouse accept SilverSneakers® cards for many classes offered. Please view our SilverSneakers® class schedule below and/or our drop-in fitness schedule for current classes.
- Bring in your SilverSneakers® card to the Recreation Center or Fieldhouse. If this is your first time using this membership with us, you will need to fill out a short waiver before you work out.

50+ Fitness Equipment Orientation
Join us for a free fitness equipment orientation with a certified personal trainer. All orientations include a demonstration on the proper use of the equipment, weight room etiquette, and proper equipment safety. This orientation is held every other Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Recreation Center. Please register online for a 50+ Fitness Equipment Orientation to save your spot.

Active Aging Adults Fitness Club
The club offers adults 50 years and older a variety of activities to choose from ranging from low-impact aerobics to cycling, strength training, walking, and more.

Aquatic Therapy TrainingParker Parks and Recreation now offers one-on-one Aquatic Therapy Training sessions. Aquatic Therapy is the use of water as a way of coping with disease or maintaining health. When in water, the effects of gravity on the body are relieved, giving a sense of weightlessness. This weightlessness helps in completing an exercise program without the painful stress on joints or muscles, while also providing resistance. The warm water in the Recreation Center’s therapy pool can also stimulate the touch receptors on the skin, increasing blood circulation and releasing tight muscles. 50+ Specialty Fitness
Parker Parks and Recreation offers several fee based classes designed for adults 50 years and older. Class offerings include yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi and Stretch, Balance and Flow. Click here for more information of class times and availability.
Group Fitness Classes
Group Fitness Classes are free* with your daily admission or membership and include cardio, strength and conditioning, yoga, Pilates and aqua aerobics classes. A complete Group Fitness schedule can be found here. An Aqua Aerobics fitness schedule can be found here. *Excludes Specialty Fitness Classes.
Parker Parks and Recreation currently offers several evidenced-based programs geared towards older adults. This includes the Arthritis Foundation’s Walk with Ease, Exercise Program and Aquatic Program as well as Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance.
