Overview
Located along Motsenbocker Road just north of the Town's Parks and Fleet/Facilities campus, this park serves Parker's equestrian community, as well as a variety of youth and adult sports leagues. Thirty acres of the park are undeveloped open space. Youth baseball fields sponsored by the Colorado Rockies are located on the north side of this park. Salisbury's playground encourages creative play, with a non-traditional modern design that appeals to big and little kids alike. There is also a completely ADA accessible playground in the park as well.
Equestrian features include an arena grandstand, a new lighted arena and parking and landscaping improvements. Salisbury Equestrian Park and Sports Complex can be accessed by non-motorized means from the east by way of the Cherry Creek Trail near the McCabe Meadows trail head.
The equestrian facility at Salisbury Park was completed as the result of a cooperative effort between the Town of Parker, several local equestrian groups, Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) and surrounding residents. The park includes a lighted equestrian arena with bleacher seating for approximately 80 people, warm up arena, renovated dressage arena and a new two-story equestrian building, which includes an office / ticket area, restrooms and a judges' / scorers' observation room.
Additional improvements to the site include better vehicular access to the park, additional equestrian parking areas, two shade structures with tables, barbeque grills*, a concessions stand near the ball fields which is open during most baseball games, a multi-use equestrian field and restrooms. Electricity is also available in the pavilion areas.
*Please Note: Grills are only provided when allowed as per fire code.
