Cattle Crossing 5K & Family Fun Trek

The Cattle Crossing 5K & Family Fun Trek is a chance to grab your friends and family to run or walk and kick off the beginning of summer. One of the most scenic events in our run series, this 5K course meanders through the picturesque Idyllwilde community under majestic tree canopies, past many feeder trails and alongside a peaceful little creek. Many will catch a glimpse of various animals along the trail, whether it be birds, deer or cattle, so be sure to keep your eyes open!

Part of the Parker Parks and Recreation Run Series, this sanctioned event is professionally timed (5K). The Family Fun Trek is about 1 mile of laid-back, outdoorsy fun. All participants will receive a commemorative sport headband, as well as a delicious post-race pancake breakfast and a chance to win prizes. The overall male/female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in each of the following divisions of the 5K will be awarded: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+. All results are determined using "gun time," meaning the timing starts simultaneously for all participants in the category. The FREE Huntington Learning Center Kids' Dash follows the race for children 8 and under; no registration necessary.
